What is Juvéderm® Volbella™ XC?

Juvéderm® Volbella™ XC Candidates

Adults 21 years and older who would like to add volume to their lips for a plumper pout or smooth lines around their lips can benefit from this dermal filler. Individuals who are pregnant or nursing, have a history of keloid scarring, have an active infection at the treatment site, or have a history of severe allergies should not receive this treatment. The Juvéderm® Volbella™ XC Treatment

During your treatment session, your lips will first be cleansed, and a topical numbing cream applied to assure you are comfortable. Juvéderm® Volbella™ XC also contains lidocaine gel to improve comfort and reduce sensitivity to pain. Next, your skilled injector will use a very small needle to inject Juvéderm® Volbella™ XC into the lips or around the lips to achieve the desired results. Treatment usually takes about 30 minutes to complete.

What to Expect Following Juvéderm® Volbella™ XC

Following your Juvéderm® Volbella™ XC treatment, temporary side-effects may include redness, tenderness, swelling, bruising, itching, and lumps at the treatment site. These effects should resolve with time. In order to achieve the best results, we advise our patients to avoid sun/heat exposure and strenuous exercise for at least 24 hours after treatment. Results can be noticed right after your treatment session and can last up to one year.
